WOWOWOWOWOW!!!! This book is amazing! Since I read this book, I couldn't stop chewing my friends' ears off about it. The way Helmreich uses his position as an insider to get to the sociological bottom of the Yeshiva system is truly incredible and one-of-a-kind. All of his insights are keen, factually based, and presented in a clear, don't-you-dare-put-this-book-down kind of way that is truly unique. I recommend this book to everybody who either was, is, or will be in the Yeshiva system, as well as anyone who is interested. Truly amaizng!

Sociological study of the yeshiva world, and read like one. Wasn't really anything new for someone who has spent a few years in the yeshiva world. But offers some interesting perspectives.
