Robert Singer is a Professor of Liberal Studies at the CUNY Graduate Center. He received a Ph.D. from New York University in Comparative Literature. His areas of expertise include literary and film interrelations, interdisciplinary research in film history and aesthetics, and comparative studies. He co-edited Zola and Film (2005), The Brooklyn Film (2003), and he also co-authored the text, The History of Brooklyn's Three Major Performing Arts Institutions (2003).
As far as a certain competition I have about "reading a book a month", this is cheating, but so what? I don't care. *chuckles*
I use quotes for my chapter headings. This has some good ones, but isn't particularly great. The book was also written in 1984 and has a lot of what was then topical quotes that, if you're not familiar with the circumstances, lose their irony. There are many other quote books out there that are much better.
Lovely gems of insight into the highly practical minds of Bad Guys. I finished this awhile ago, but I had reason to quote from it recently and I highly recommend it.
