I cannot express how important this little book is and the importance of mother's of sexually abused children to share their side of the story.
I'm currently writing my memoirs and will not stop until 'our' voice is heard. Body memories that have made me physically ill this week trying to swallow these stories have colored what I might say in a review at this time.
For now, please know that the mother's deal with more than most can even imagine. Horrendously so that I wonder if we will ever honestly be heard. Some of these mother's upset me, especially those that are still with the monsters that abused their daughters. Any why, oh why, didn't they speak about the precious daughter's who were abused.
I don't know how but there is a way to help them recover...I'm doing all I can on a daily basis and am wrenched at the continual triage the children suffer. Sons as well as daughters are suffering...there must be a way to get information out to help them. There must be a way to help mothers...I am still blamed by some for what happened...I had no resources and no family to help me find my way. The loneliness and isolation is unbearable!
Read this book...at least it is a beginning...at start and maybe a hope that there is something that we can do.
