The $100k strategy is: pick a niche, release a new book every 30-60 days, list the books in series, create bundles, release audiobook editions. Launch each book and let them create momentum for each other. Build your mailing list. Then, when you’re bringing in solid monthly royalties, sell the business for 30-40x your monthly royalties using Empire Flipper. Somewhere around $2500/month in royalties will get you a $100k buyout.
One thing I hadn’t seen before is the recommendation to run daily (one-off) promos for at least 12 days when you launch a book, and do them in increasing order to make a pretty trend line for Amazon. This increases your chances of Amazon promoting the book after the first 30 days.
Highlights: Yellow highlight | Page: 25 A major advantage of having series pages is higher conversions when running paid ads. Because you are advertising multiple books, you’re able to target a range of keywords all at once. Additionally, because many readers will purchase the full series, your average ticket price can be significantly higher but your ad costs remain essentially the same.
Yellow highlight | Page: 27 By intentionally releasing a book every thirty to sixty days (a strategy known as “Rapid Release”), you can consistently capitalize on Amazon’s algorithm. The basic concept behind the rapid release strategy is that the momentum and visibility behind your newly-released books will spill over onto older books, which helps them to consistently stay in front of your target audience.
Yellow highlight | Page: 38 Then copy and paste each keyword in the search bar. Now, count how many books have BSRs less than 50,000 on the first page.
Yellow highlight | Page: 38 As a rule of thumb, I like to see at least three books with BSRs below 50,000 on the first page. If there are less than three, it usually indicates there probably isn’t enough demand for that keyword.
Yellow highlight | Page: 48 The most important thing to remember when developing a hook for your self-improvement book is that people don’t buy tactics. They buy processes and systems.
Yellow highlight | Page: 50 When you understand the challenges your reader is experiencing at a core level, creating your book hook is a straightforward process that can be accomplished in 3 simple steps. Step #1: Identify your audience’s problem. Step #2: Form the problem into a question. Step #3: Position your book as the unique, simplified solution.
Yellow highlight | Page: 50 For example, let’s say you have a book that shows people how they can raise their credit scores. Problem: People who want to increase a low credit score. Question: Is your low credit score hurting your chances of buying a home or car? Solution: Learn the exact strategies and techniques to increase your credit score by 100+ points in as little as 90 days.

Yellow highlight | Page: 122 The website I recommend is Booksprout. Not only does Booksprout enable you to create a special link where people can download a copy of your book, but they also have a large network of built-in readers who are ready to download your book and leave a review.
Yellow highlight | Page: 123 It’s important to give pre-readers at least two weeks to read your book before scheduling its release date. This way, your ARC team will be ready to post their reviews when your book goes live.
Yellow highlight | Page: 123 On average, you can expect anywhere from 5 to 10 people from within Booksprout’s network to download your book.
Yellow highlight | Page: 123 Join ten Facebook groups specific to your book’s topic. Choose groups that have at least 1,000 members and appear to have a lot of activity.
Yellow highlight | Page: 124 Once you have established a presence in the community, post that you've recently written a book on your topic and you really welcome member feedback.
Yellow highlight | Page: 124 Once your book is live, don’t forget to remove it from Booksprout
Yellow highlight | Page: 126 It’s also important to stack your promos from least effective to most effective so that your book sales are trending in an upward trajectory. Amazon favors books that show sales are increasing over time.
Yellow highlight | Page: 138 Make sure your book is priced at $.99 cents. Try to schedule one promotion every day for twelve days if you can afford it. Otherwise schedule for as long as your budget allows. Don’t forget to schedule promotions from weakest to strongest.
Yellow highlight | Page: 145 So, if you’re wondering if creating boxsets will negatively affect the sales of your individual books, the answer is not at all.
Yellow highlight | Page: 145 I recommend waiting at least 30 to 60 days after launching your book before putting it in a bundle, to avoid undermining the success of your launch.
Yellow highlight | Page: 146 Pro Tip: A great place to offer your bundle is on the “Thank You” page when people sign up for your mailing list. Instead of having a generic thank you page, you can direct readers to your bundle page.
Yellow highlight | Page: 151 ACX doesn’t allow you to set the price of your audiobook. The price is automatically determined by the length of the audio. Below are the current minimum pricing requirements: ● Under 1 hour: $3.95 ● 1-3 hours: $6.95 ● 3-5 hours: $14.95 ● 5-10 hours: $19.95 ● 10–20 hours: $24.95 ● Over 20 hours: $29.95
Yellow highlight | Page: 151 On average, it takes a narrator approximately one hour to narrate 10,000 words, depending upon how fast or slowly they speak. Therefore, narration time for a 30,000-word book is around 3-hours.
Yellow highlight | Page: 152 The per finished hour rate I recommend is $50 to $70 PFH. There’s really no need to pay more.

Kindle Unlimited. The claim in this book is predicated on “The Synergized Book Model” which means self-published authors are dedicated to one niche and publish a new book every one to three months. Although this method is not feasible for many authors, the tips enclosed are useful and actionable for every author. One of the most difficult hurdles for self-published authors is generating reviews. This social proof (a.k.a. Online credibility) is essential to publishing success and discussed under “organic reviews”. These three steps highlight the useful advice in this book: “Step #1: Identify your audience’s problem. Step #2: Form the problem into a question. Step #3: Position your book as the unique, simplified solution.” It also contains tips on keyword optimization, revenue streams, creating audiobooks, email lists, In addition to the book, there is a bonus included: a free tool-kit entitled “Cheat Sheet: Tools Templates & Resources” (see page 5) by joining the author’s fan base (i.e. mailing list).
SHORT, BUT PACKS A PUNCH! As a long-time writer and publisher of nonfiction books, I've studied the business advice of numerous publishers and e-commerce experts and I have to say, this author has managed to distill the best advice into one book! Starting with the broad strategic view of writing and publish for success, then diving into the details of market research, getting the titles, descriptions and hooks right, this book provides an excellent overview of the essential "must know" and "must do" actions for someone who is keen to break into book publishing. And for people who don't like to write, there is a while chapter on outsourcing by employing a ghost writer. Toward the end of this book are some tactical considerations around launching a newly published book, how to price audiobooks, and how to value your publishing business. All up, this book is a "one-stop-shop" for anyone who wants to get into this business.
So many great pieces of wisdom in this book. I don't want to give any spoilers, but her list of where to promote your book is better than all my research over the past year. In addition, she gives clear directions and actions you can take to create and publish a book. I joined an expensive course to learn publishing and their strategy is not half as good as what is in this book. Read it, follow the instructions and you are sure to have success because the process I was taught is bs. One suggestion is to include Bookfunnel as a resource. Landing pages are easy to make for your lead magnet and it integrates with many email platforms.
After reading literally dozens of books on successful self-publishing - most of which were adequate at best, rubbish at worst - I wasn't necessarily expecting too much from this one, but I was pleasantly surprised. Finally, someone who sets out the steps I need to take to become successful in my career of choice - i.e. Online Publishing - in a clear, concise manner that helps to avoid overwhelm and motivates to start ASAP. Great job. Thank you.
The author clearly articulates that it more than writing a book or becoming an author. Gracie teaches how to develop a book publish business in a simplistic format. The author shared personal stories that led to gems of knowledge to anyone who wants to make passive income.
I like the fact that flow of the book isn't infused with fluff but tips and strategies to build a product based business that provides financial freedom.
I’ve written a few books so I’ve read a few on creating books, marketing books and selling books. This book is one of the better ones. It had some promotion ideas I hadn’t read about. The author is a good write and chunks the information appropriately. It is not too broad or too detailed. I’m going to see what other books this author has to read now!
This informative book provides all the direction one needs to get started in one easy to follow format condensed into one book. Clear and concise direction. Well written!
The author made it seem like this strategy is do-able and reach-able for anyone. Whether that's true or not, she did give a good pep talk. :) Plus, it's full of great tips and resources that I didn't know before.
I loved the way she said you'll have to do something and then detailed exactly how and where to go to do it. I'm now super motivated and almost have my first book finished.
If you're already familiar with self-publishing, there's nothing new here. However, this is still a helpful guide and well-organized. Great for beginners!
Good insight Actionable steps not just useless or recyclable information. Def would recommend to anyone looking to expand their business and brand by writing books!
Offered strategies, examples and a step by step plan; explained in easy to follow instructions with many tips on where to search for even more great information.
This is the most detailed book on how to create and launch your "How To" book I have ever found. And I have looked and read a lot. I also have a $2,000 course that goes through a lot of the things this book goes through... the crazy part is I still learned a LOT from this book! I am VERY impressed and will be going back again and again to this book often!
