I thought adventures in my life had come to an end. However, Steven Ward has catapulted me into the high flights of Christina Matthews once again. I felt like I was her life-mate, experiencing all that she has done in this second novel. Chris has attained her lofty goal as an astronaut. Her first flight ends in near disaster. Soon she learns her astronaut status goes against the beliefs of a middle-eastern country and she becomes a target of terrorists to be destroyed. There are many twists and turns which follow that leads Chris to not even trust the U.S. president. This novel is much more intense with mature topics of world-wide crises. Don't hesitate reading this outstanding story; it's a fast-paced thriller.

I bought this one and the first one at the same time and then mixed them up and read this one first. It didn't bother me too much, though I think there were some references made that would have made more sense if I'd read the first one, well, first. :) I loved the plot of the book and the various conspiracies set forth. I don't know anything about flying, so Mr. Ward could have made all the technical stuff up. If that's the case then he's a wonderful BSer, but my guess is he really knows his facts about planes and shuttles. The only constructive criticism I have to offer is some of the dialogue didn't seem to flow right for me. Now back to read book one!

Again pretty good for a free amazon book. Could use a bit more character and plot depth.
