Whether they are made of wood, glass, or wrought iron or whether they are very old or very new or somewhere in between, these photos of doors around the world are interesting to view. Some are quite simple, some are falling apart and some are surrounded by intricate stone or wood carvings. There are colorful ones and ones where the paint is peeling away. In the back is an index telling where each door is located in the world. Some of my favorites were:
1. An interestingly painted door in Bexleyheath, London, England.
2. Door and fence made of wooden poles held together with wire in South Africa with a modern keypad lock on the outside.
3. The Neu Palace in Bayreuth, Germany. The door itself is fairly ordinary but it is flanked with pillars and walls that look as though they are decorated with millions of rounded pebbles.
4. An inside door that looks like a bookcase, itself surrounded by real bookshelves.

There is something for everyone in this collection of photographs and they might just make you take a second look at your own front door.
