Paranoid about renting your home to somemone? Read this book and become more manic. For every possible thing that you can get sued about or to make you worry, the author has almost talked me out of the option of renting my house out to someone instead of selling it.

For slumlords, by a slumlord.
If you want to attract low-quality tenants to your low-quality rental, this is a book for you.
Although there are a few simple tips here for any landlord, they are the obvious ones (don't give your home phone number to tenants, etc). His other tips are along the lines of: No dishwashers! No air conditioning! No garages! And since code only requires one window, board up all the rest!
When you get to his tip "Never answer your own front door," you'll know why he doesn't. If I had his attitude, I wouldn't either.

This information applies to C class properties for the most part, but I am not sure if it would apply if you are more in the A to B class property range. There are some tangible quick DIY tips for C class property owners.
