Educated at Harvard, Yale, and UCLA, Jim Stinson has taught film production at Art Center College of Design, media history and criticism at California State University, Los Angeles, and video production at La Caada High School. Hes written for academia, published four mystery novels, made feature and instructional films, and spent twelve years as a columnist and contributing editor at Videomaker magazine. Today, when not writing fiction, he is constantly revising his popular textbook on video production to keep pace with exploding media technology. Though born and bred in Pittsburgh he has spent all his adult life in California and Oregon, where he now lives with his wife, Sue. He dotes on his two adult children and is pleased to report that they remain at large.
