This little book is from England! The Guild of Master Craftsmen is (or was) their adult education program, i.e., night school in the U.S. If you don't know popular UK knitting patterns from magazines and books like this from the last 50 years, you're in for a treat! If it's a raglan cardi, each stitch is accounted for, the design centered, and the button band will be perfect! So for gloves, instructions are clear and thoughtful with the space between fingers carefully planned so you don't end up with amaturish holes. This book offers a variety of styles from well-known designers using popular yarns that can easily be substituted.

I did not "finish" this book! The plot is what you make it. It does end well. As soon as I received it, I said, "Yes! Yes! Yes!" You will, too!

A great book for those starting out with knitting gloves, each pattern gives instructions for working both using straight needles and in the round. Palmer takes you gently through patterns of increasing complexity, beginning with a pair of children's gloves that are a mirror image of each other, and a pair of baby's mittens, right through to lace, cable, fair isle, colour knitted and textured patterns. Plenty to keep me going for quite some time, great value for money, I just have to choose what to knit next.

If you like to knit gloves, take a look at this book. I plan to use a couple of the patterns in the future.
