Passports to Literacy Texts 1

Passports to Literacy is a package of new Cambridge Reading materials to give teachers maximum support in implementing the requirements of the literacy hour in the junior years. Passports to Texts 1 is the first of four books for KS2/P4–7 which provide a series of easy to follow literacy hour lesson plans over three terms, based closely on the text-level objectives of the National Literacy Strategy. Linked to a series of poster-format extracts from Cambridge Reading texts, which are ideal for shared reading, the books include group activities (many with photocopiable worksheets), cross-references to Passports to Sentences and Words, and an informative introduction on key issues in literacy hour teaching.
