Patrick and Professor Scriffle are the main charactors. Then when Patrick goes to summer school Professor Scriffle introduces Patrick to the mean dream WASHING mashine all sorts of things go on. My favorite bit of the story is when Patrick starts adding little bits and bobs to the machine. The bit that scares Patrick is when professor Scriffle starts to know bit by bit of what Patrick added to the Machine.
