I’ve read a lot of lost gospels recently and this was was awful. I just couldn’t understand how it fit into the Nag Hamaddi library. Then I realized it was the translation itself. I highly recommend opting out of this one which is steeped heavily in patriarchal perspectives and outdated narratives. IMO the author attempts to co-opt a sacred text and filter it through a misogynistic, judgmental, even elitist lens.
