I believe that the edition of this book that I read was printed in 1896, but it doesn't seem to be listed on Goodreads so this edition is what I will list. I really enjoyed this book. Savonarola's life is fascinating and I felt like I got a much better idea of the kinds of things that led to the reformation. It was also interesting for me to get a perspective on Florence as the high Renaissance came to an end, (Savonarola's life spanned the end of Lorenzo Medici's life through to his less successful successors).
