A bit dry until I really got into it, and started thinking about the issues raised about the lack of independence of the Papua peoples in Indonesia. Once I started looking up more information, it became really interesting. The book itself is thought-provoking rather than impressive in its own right, so I've given it only three stars here, but it's still worth reading. Its a great shame there weren't any photos, particularly of the different tribes.
I got rather carried away with my Bookcrossing journal entry, so for those of you who read Dutch, have a look here: http://www.bookcrossing.com/journal/7... If you don't read Dutch, there's a link at the bottom to an article in English, and some lovely Papuan music; reminiscent of Hawaaian sounds.
