In the world at large, having a disability, no matter how severe is lonely. It's lonely because you're too low for the conversation in your wheel chair, everyone is laughing a visual joke, you can't hear the nuances of language, and no one can see your disability and know you keep that secret deep within yourself. Certainly you need to dig deep within yourself to overcome and make it to that point where outsiders see the person and not the disability. This is where Casey's story as she struggles with her awareness and capacity of her disability has come to be shared.
