Please don't spoil my ice cream sundae by adding a dollop of ketchup on top! Just the very idea of such a strange and unlikely combination will attract the attention of readers, who will want to know what other weird pairings can be found inside this board book. With brightly-colored illustrations, this book focuses on foods, and readers can increase their vocabulary, make note of descriptive words and prepositional phrases as well as flip the top and bottom halves of the book simultaneously or flip one at a time or several pages, all resulting in some funny, if not particularly appetizing, dishes. This is such a fun and unique way to reconsider foods and what goes with what. This is another successful title in the Mix-and-Match series, which, by the way, is the perfect name for the series since that's exactly what readers are doing as they peruse it.
