Sayu’s older brother Issa appears at the convenience store where she works, revealing that there’s not much time left. Meanwhile, Yoshida and Sayu go to a local summer festival. In the hustle and bustle of the festival, they share unforgettable memories, and yet…?!
Another solid volume. Where I enjoyed the last volume more as it focused on the adult relationships, and ups and downs, and regrets, this one gives more focus back to Sayu. Sayu's older brother, Issa, shows up at the convenience store where she works, revealing that there isn't much time left before she has to go home. He seems...off. I also really enjoyed the moments of Yoshida coming to the realization his words can matter to people around him. The moment at the lunchroom was the best part.
However, the stuff with Sayu and him feels still weird. The age gap doesn't help. But knowing how manga goes, I'm assuming eventually they'll get together which I don't love. In the midst of this, Yoshida and Sayu attend a local summer festival, creating some memorable moments, but with the deadline set by her brother, the tension is definitely building.
A 3.5 out of 5. I'll bump it to a 4 for Goodreads.
