Διάβασα την ελληνική έκδοση από τις πανεπιστημιακές εκδόσεις Κρήτης και ομολογώ πως έχει γίνει πολύ καλή δουλειά και οι παρεμβάσεις του επιμελητή στα σχόλια ήταν καίριες.
Δεν ήταν όλα τα κείμενα εξίσου δυνατά, αλλά συνολικά το βρήκα εξαιρετικό.

A collection of studies on renown masterpieces of the Greco/Roman world. Curiously enough, the chosen pieces of art and architectures are all big in size-most of the times bigger than life-size- while they are made of stone. No small items or pieces made of metal or ceramic is ever discussed. The new viewpoints offered are wonderful and paradigmatic of the work archaeologists and art historians perform however, it would have been useful to revise the idea of masterpiece based on the concepts of Renaissance.
