A collection of eight short stories, which should appeal to all generations of enquiring minds. The book came to life from two young enquiring minds, my two granddaughters. One of them made a model rocket, from scraps of items, that are usually recycled. The finished model was presented to me as a gift. The other one asked that age old question, 'which came first granddad, the chicken or the egg'? I had relaxed from writing for some while, this challenge from my granddaughters posed some confusion in my mind, how to thank them both. A simple thank you did not feel enough. Perhaps a thank you card in the post, I thought, no a little formal I felt. Then it came to me, I will reply through the postal system, but by way of a short story, for each of them. My daughter read both stories, then suggested that it would be a good idea Dad if you put these two stories and any others you have into a book and publish it, offering it to a wider audience. Why not I thought. Once I began, there was no stopping me or my pen. Within a short period of time love2, book one of hopefully a series was created. The book offers the reader humour, happiness, sometimes sadness, a little melancholy and more, everything we all experience, thrown together into life's mixing bowl. Place yourself there, imagine it's you or a close friend. Perhaps this is you and you are in need of a good laugh or cry, why not, if it helps. R.E. KERNER.
