Educated at Yale, Tufts, Prague and MIT, Professor John Donovan's academic appointments include: tenure at MIT, Professor of Electrical Engineering and Management at MIT, Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Tufts Medical school, taught at Harvard and is a Silliman fellow at Yale. He has written sixteen books and has ten patents registered with the US Patent Office.
Professor Donovan is founder and formerly chairman of Cambridge Technology Partners, founder of C-bridge Internet Solutions, and founder of Cambridge technology Enterprises. He has formed an additional 23 companies including KPMG-CTG, Ibersis-CTG, I-cube, ICE, CenterPoint, WorldStreet, Cambridge/Samsung Partners and Open Environment Corp. Over a 40 year period, he has formed and conserved some 600 acres of land for John Donovan Reservation and John Donovan Park in honor of his son.
Professor Donovan currently lives in Hamilton, MA. He has recently started a new company called SendItLater to send messages in the future. He is now serving at MIT in the department of Economics and is constructing three websites with a focus on entrepreneurship. And yes, he still enjoys riding horses, skiing and playing basketball.
