Mouse and Sunshine 'Til the Break of Dawn

Rate this book
Sunshine was once happy for nine straight months. The months that Mouse Jennings was sitting behind her in German class, holding her hand in the hallway, playing “Moon River” on his guitar to distract her from her homework, kissing her in his mom’s car after telling her he loved her. Then Mouse moved away. Then he broke up with her. Five years later, Sunshine is working as an intern at a publishing house. She broke up with her first boyfriend since Mouse six months ago. She's stuck in an airport a few days into the New Year, tired and ready to give up on love. Turns out that Mouse is there, too. Stuck in the same place for the foreseeable future, they decide to hang out together until their flights are back online. Sunshine's surprised how much Mouse has grown into himself. But she can't—shouldn’t—love him again. Not after only a few hours together. Not when she doesn’t trust love anymore. And especially not when she has to stay in Chicago if she wants a shot at her dream job. But all it's ever taken for Sunshine to give in to Mouse was a smile and a song. And Mouse has an endless supply of both. Still, he doesn't want her to sacrifice her dream for another chance together. And Sunshine doesn't want him to build his life around her. But what if finding each other again isn't a coincidence? What if it's their second chance?
