The Tides of My Life is the life story of Gordon J. Duisterhof. Gordon is the descendent of Dutch immigrants who faced many challenges. When Gordon was a boy his father, Major Helmert J. Duisterhof, died after the Bataan Death March of World War II. Young Gordon took on the responsibilities of his family while pursuing his education and military career. In his adult life, with his wife Merlyn by his side, he has shown determination and tenacity in raising three children and developing his own company, Gordon Water. Family, faith and fortitude have been, and continue to be, his mainstays.
