I read this in January 2012, right after Christmas. Probably best -- because this, while beautiful and perhaps even simple -- could up my anxiety at Christmas-time. usually use paper and ribbon. Wen uses pressed flowers molded into packing tape. I could get used to this, But it is a mind shift. I tried sticking peppermints into packing tape, but they all fell off. Wan also suggests sewing a gift bag out of beautiful paper. I could do that faster than I could make a bow. Or make a cummerbund of patterned paper on a plainly- wrapped pkg. or use wire instead of ribbon: just crimp it. Then stick plastic flowers all over the box. Or copy some family fotos, then rip them up and paste the remains onto the gift box. Careful, now! I have started using strips of pretty fabric for my bows. This Is a simple, beautiful book -- never mind my sarcasm. I love b the respect and love implied by a thoughtful wrapping.
