Rate this book
NATURE/BIRDS/ALASKA. A delightful story, with illustrations on every turn of the page, of the life history and ecology of the Red-necked Grebe. From breaking out of the egg to trials of life at sea, the “Old Lady” (as the story is told from the bird's perspective) takes us on a remarkable journey and inspires us to look closer at the natural world that sustains us all.

The kids and I both loved this book - a story of a grebe that lived on Wasilla Lake for many years. Super sweet and teaches so much about grebes!
