Juli 1827.
I loved this book and have recommended it to everyone. For me, it was interesting and charming and sparked a renewed interest in this period of history.
The true story of how the first giraffe got to the Paris zoo. Uneven writing and too much jumping about in time/place but full of enough small tidbits of interesting information to make it worth reading.
