Nifty book; the idea of which is to offer quick biographic sketches of famous people using quotes about them by other (mostly famous) peers or commentators. From Bing Crosby to Oliver Cromwell, it includes a vast array of British and American famous personalities. The famous people are alphabetized, with each person's entry including snippets of quotes from themselves or other famous people speaking about them. A cool way to get a quick biographical sketch of each person while gaining quotable testimonials from others. The back section is a cross-reference index showing who spoke about whom. So, this is not necessarily a standard book of famous people and their famous quotes, but quotes by others about them. Pretty cool concept.
