This book is lucky it got a 1 star. There was absolutely no plot and it took me way too long to get into it. At least it had pictures and the ending ended up being worth it!

This has been the bane of my existence these past several months. I’m giving myself credit for reading every single one of the 1,000+ pages. 3 stars because it helped me pass boards.

Enemies never became lovers, nothing to be seen about a best friend’s brother, and no fake relationship. Smh.

Reading this book was basically the worst thing ever. 10/10 would not recommend but giving it at least 2 stars because I passed boards so there’s that!

This was good for what it is. It did a good job of not giving you more information than necessary. If I don’t pass this test after reading all 1000+ pages I will never recover

I hated turning to this book and studying from it but I passed my boards exam so that’s why it gets 2 stars. It’s definitely outdated but the boards exam is too so I guess that’s a positive. Would recommend supplementing studying this book with other resources as well.

Overall, the book had a good storyline. However, it was a little heavy on the medical jargon and had quite a few plot holes.

Considering I read each of these pages I think it deserves to count for the year. If I pass the NPTE it will earn the one star I was forced to give it by default.

0/10 recommend. Lacks character development, lots of medical jargon and often difficult to follow. At least it had pictures.

Considering I read every single page of this book from start to finish, it counts toward my 2024 reading goal. Easily the worst book I’ve ever read, super dry content wise, but pictures and tables were helpful I guess. It gets 1 star bc the end result of reading this was that I passed the NPTE, which I guess was the intended purpose so that’s a plus

Tbh I didn’t read the last chapter, and I felt like the book was a little disorganized. The included pictures weren’t helpful to learning. Would love to see better images, graphs, charts, etc. Maybe even a spicy pneumonic?
That being said, I did learn a lot from reading hundreds and hundreds of pages, and I will probably refer back to it in the future! It helped me pass my school’s comprehensive exam and I liked that I got 3 practice exams with this book.

Our 4 week relationship, did end with a big passed, however, I can not look past the pain you caused my brain, the highlighters you drank up, the pens scribbled in your margins, and the sticky notes sticking out of your worst pages.

Looked back at my past challenges and didn’t have any books saved for 2022…
Then I realized why, I had my nose stuck in this one! 3 stars bc I finished the book and passed boards, but overall dreadful experience every time I opened it.

Considering the amount of times read this deserves a count on the reading challenge for 2023

Definitely not a book I would choose for a mood read. Will be checking back to adjust this rating come August pending final results.
