I don't like how the instructions and corresponding pictures are sometimes nowhere near each other because the instructions aren't clear in spots and that can be due to it being written in British English and I'm American. There's also no picture that isn't zoomed in really closely or that shows the finished item so good luck if you've never done that skill before.

Five stars for even existing. I found very little literature on alterations, but I found this at a crafts store and its cute to boot. Giant close-up photography doesn't hurt either.

An entire chapter on hemming!

It's more for a non-sewer but even then, you'd need to know enough sewing terms
