Whether you want to grow basil and brussels sprouts, plums or even pansies, this volume's easy-to-follow advice will teach you the five easy steps to preparing, planting, nurturing and harvesting a natural garden that will produce chemical-free vegetables and fruit.
Not really an intro book (which is what the title would suggest). It’s written for people that already know traditional (non-organic) gardening and as a reference manual (1/3 of the book is a taxonomy of plants, pests, diseases, and other highly specifics).
I think the author really knows his stuff but is not particularly good at teaching it.
This book has info as a how-to manual - but is kind of boring. Maybe if i got more excited about learning a new fix for having some garden pest or blight... but I don't.
