Ich war ja etwas geschockt, als ich gerade den Preis dafür auf Amazon sah. (79€)
Bei meiner Bewertung bin ich aber sehr hin und hergerissen. Hier sind wirklich ausgesprochen originelle und farblich extrem gut gezeichnete Bilder, nur leider für meine Geschmack zu explizit und übertrieben, was die bestimmten Abschnitte der Zeichnung betrifft. Die Genitalien sind übermäßig groß und gefallen mir halt gar nicht. Ich mag eher die Bilder, wo alles etwas versteckt ist und man nicht den Akt an sich zeigt. Die waren leider Mangelware in dem Buch. Aber es gab hier Bilder, die hätte ich mir am liebsten einrahmen lassen, wären da nicht diese expliziten Anteile im Bild.
Die Farbwahl und Kontrastwahl sind in manchen Bilder einfach unglaublich großartig. Der Zeichenstil ist eher graffiti-mäßig, was mir sehr gefällt. Auch die Hintergründe sind teilweise echt originell und atmosphärisch.

There was an intro near the beginning by Patrick Fillion, and there was an explanation of his journey by Mike at the end. Exactly what you expect erotic, gay art. Halfway to the book, it tells you to turn the book so you’re looking at the pictures from landscape perspective. My problem is there were too many pictures that were done over two pages with the crease flooring or blocking the image and they were way too many pictures of were so dark. It was almost impossible to distinguish the images on the page..

One of the main reasons why I bought this book was because the cover art spoke directly to the area below my belt buckle. But having been familiar with a little of Mike's work, I definitely knew that I wasn't going to be disappointed. His work is virile and meaty, if that makes any sense. I love his work with shadow and his cartoony, muscular style.

If the title of the book is any indication of his intentions with this book then it's a success. Nut busted.
