I've owned this book since my first visit to India in 2006 (it was presented as a gift to me by my staff). It is a beautifully crafted and photographed book that describes each region of the country, starting in the Historic North, ending in the Graceful South (Part II). Part I describes the culture, history and natural history of India. The author obviously has a deep love for the people & country of India; a love which I share as well. My only critique might be to say that the book is perhaps too large (coffee table size), however I honestly feel that is not large enough . . . the photos are stunning!
