I got this book on a whim a while back, but I’m kind of glad I did. It follows some of the inner purpose of a principal who has to find that balance between pleasing her community and what’s best for the students. What do parents want versus what do their children need? I laughed a bit reading about the Mafia Mothers (and Fathers), parents who felt entitled that their perfect angels’ problems were all the schools fault, too blind to see their own. The battle of overcoming these different setbacks makes me appreciate most of the teachers I had in my life. Even though this is a book from many years ago, it’s got a message I think still holds true today. And I hope that anyone who reads this book will almost realize just how influential they can be and live a life that makes them happy and proud.
