Fodor's Travel Publications is a United States-based producer of English-language travel guides and online tourism information. It was founded by Hungarian Eugene Fodor in 1936. Fodor’s was acquired by Random House in 1986 and sold to Internet Brands in 2016.
I actually read the 1967 version of this guide — more for research purposes for a manuscript idea on a location I'm considering so I didn't read the entire book. However, what I read was easy to read, detailed and interesting from the perspective of how India has changed in over four decades since my copy was written.
