This is a beautiful book about the life of leaves and it leaves you with a soft, green feeling in your heart. It chronicles leaf life as perceived through all our human senses - sight (variances in shapes, form, etc.; How the sky under each tree is different, modified by the shape of its leaves and branches), smell (pleasant smelling leaves like eucalyptus to odour and unappreciated smells in leaves), taste (the leaves in our kitchen; how leaves absorb or produce tanine - a chemical that accrues the leaf its bitter property, so that monkeys and other animals are discouraged from eating them), touch (leaves under feet, touch me not), sound (wind through leaves). It develops upon the essence of leaves in all its beauteous forms and features. It's a really really slim book and a one time read. I'm really enjoying reading a one sip book a day.
