Asymmetrical, slightly misshapen, jolie laide softies, with encouragement to use upcycled charity shop or unloved t-shirts and sweaters and socks. Absolutely great. They are mostly variations on a theme--pancake one-piece bodies with quirky heads--but they have so much personality and are just brilliantly designed. Great little backstories, too.
For a test pattern, I made Dave the Slug, and he came together really quickly for maximum cuteness. The instructions are clear and friendly. The aged sock made him soft and cuddly like nothing with crisp, expensive material could ever achieve.
