Never has an invisible friend caused a girl so much grief. From acclaimed children's author Lauren Barnholdt, a laugh-out-loud chapter book series for precocious kids everywhere! Hailey Twitch has a secret. She has a friend named Maybelle―a sprite that no one else can see. Hailey's class is performing a play that is fun, fun, fun! Hailey wants to be the star. But when a substitute teacher takes over the class, he makes the play BORING! Hailey needs Maybelle's help. But Maybelle still doesn't have her magic back. How will She help Hailey this time?
This book is meant for younger kids, but I still really enjoyed it. Hailey is so funny! I also want to read the next book in this series because Maybelle (a fairy) gets her magic back at the end of this book, but on the first spell she tries to do, she messes up! I can't wait to see what other funny things she does with her mix-up magic!

This book is obviously meant for young kids, but i wanted to read it anyway, since it is a book by Lauren Barnholdt. It a sweet book, written how a young child understands the world and things around them. It's the perfect read for younger kids, who will most likely find it really good and funny.
my favritoe chacter was haley because she was very mischofe. what suprised me was that haley nieghboor did not like kids becuse he had a gumball machine. no i would not change the ending because it was funny.
Very silly book. Read with my 8 year old. She disliked it greatly. She thought Hailey was the WORST! Bad choices bad choices and more bad choices. The only thing I didn't care for was the over use of repeated words. Whenever the author wanted to emphasize something they said it in threes. Stomp stomp stomping, etc.
