It's the God's-honest truth I bought this to sell, because it's worth a small mint and I bought it for chump change.
Nonetheless, I was already familiar with Milo Manara's work. I'd read, and enjoyed, his coyly teasing, cheesily humorous erotic graphic-novel take on Gulliver's Travels, titled Gullivera (which I reviewed here:) https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/7...
This book features 52 paintings for various US and Euro editions of his book covers. I "read" it in about three minutes.
Cartoonish erotic manga-type depictions of nude women usually don't do it for me, but Manara may be the exception. His stuff is pretty damned hot. There's an art nouveau-ish, vaguely Maxfield Parrish-like quality to some of the art, especially the way he draws/paints the hair -- the hair on the head, since in this instance that distinction is important. It's soft-core stuff; pin-ups that are slightly more revealing, and, if you're curious, a search of Google images will clue you in.
