A mid- century homage to Charleston, SC that includes the author's personal reminiscences about the city as well as considerations about why so many feel an emotional connection to it.
Filled with sentiments about Charleston to which many can relate, the book is a lovely, simply- written piece. However, it does contain racial language with a patriarchal tone, evidence of the author's dated mindset.
