How to Tell a Woman by Her Handbag

Rate this book
A charming, clever analysis of how women's personalities are reflected in their choice of handbags. Fully illustrated with colorful depictions of 40 different handbag styles, the text describes characteristics of the women who carry each one.

According to fashion expert Kathryn Eisman, to understand a woman, first understand her purse.

In How to Tell a Woman by Her Handbag , Eisman cleverly contends that fashions come and go, but a woman's handbag is eternal, forever revealing her nature--and just maybe her secrets. With forensic precision and cutting wit, Eisman helps women identify their own handbag personas as well as those of family, friends, and foes.

Thanks to How to Tell a Woman by Her Handbag , the next time you rub shoulders with Canvas Tote Lady or Decrepit Briefcase Lady or even Bamboo Cane Handle Lady, you'll be able to discern just what makes her tick. But you'll also recognize the bond common to women the world over--we're all bag ladies!

Not much to say, the book was moderately amusing but rather devoid of content for the price. You're paying for the cutesy appearance, folks, not for any substantial amount of entertainment. I was able to read through this in about 15 minutes-- definitely not worth the cost. But would probably be a cute Xmas gift or similar if you've got cash to burn.

Unfortunately the choice of handbags I own is dictated by my limited budget. I think the author's assessment is overrated. Good coffee trash though.
