An invigorating study of how Christian orthodoxy balances extremes in order to maintain a coherent “middle ground.” In addition to providing insightful explorations of the doctrines of creation, Trinity, incarnation, and deification, Mascall demonstrates a theological method that is sharp and effective.

As an inheritor of his own Anglican patrimony, I want to see Mascallian Anglican theology done a way that is more self consciously Protestant, but this book offers a quick entry to his refreshing style and method.
