The Family Primer
The Primer was created to encourage families in family worship by providing a method of ritual play easily practiced. This is especially true for those families who are just beginning family worship and feel a bit awkward about what they are doing. Hopefully after finishing the primer a family, families, or “family of families” would feel comfortable stepping out to discover their own ritual play knowing they have been able to share in prescribed experiences. The Primer does not espouse any specific theological position but rather suggests overarching concepts easily palatable with any Christian worldview. The desire in doing this was to keep the primer a reflection of familia Dei (family of God)—different but all part of the same family!
