My Unknown Child a Per:

Rate this book
First published in German and French, the bestseller My Unknown Child is a sensitive, firsthand account of a single abortion. On the surface, Noreen Riols had every reason to get an abortion. With the birth of her first child came an overwhelming postpartum depression. When she became pregnant again, her doctor, her psychiatrist, and even her vicar counseled her to have an abortion. For Noreen, however, the real devastation was just beginning. With candor and tenderness, she takes readers on a journey through the emotional and spiritual ravages of abortion. This is a brave work that infuses readers with compassion for those who suffer from the choice of abortion and reveals their true hope for healing: Jesus Christ.

This book was given to me by the author. It is incredibly well written and intensely personal. I was so captivated by the story that I read it in less than half a day.

The book covers the story of her abortion, but more than that, it tells how God met her where she was, was patiently drawing her to Him until she understood His everlasting love and finally accepted His forgiveness. This is one of the most powerful testimonies of God's grace that I have ever read.

God knows what it takes to reach any individual. Noreen's testimony reminds us how personal a God He is.

I strongly believe that if everyone would read this story, there would no longer be any debate about abortion.
