The people of Alderwood, including young, lovely Lady Mary, received rough treatment at the hands of their last lord, Sir Benwyck of Cryll. When the King grants the estate to Sir Philip, they're determined to see him gone, and the sooner the better. Mary certainly didn't count on an offer of marriage from the handsome knight. Philip's got one year to show Mary the pleasures of sex to win her as his bride, to bind her with his passion...
I’m really very ordinary, you know, so it’s hard to know what to say here. I’m a mom and a grandma. I do laundry and clean house (well, sometimes) and wash dishes like everyone else.
I grew up in New York (the city, that is) and moved to North Carolina some thirty years ago. I discovered books early and buried myself in them as much as possible as a child and a teenager. I still love sinking into a good book and getting swept away.
I’m an unabashed reader of genre books. I love mysteries, romance, science fiction and fantasy. Horror, not so much. I wrote my first short story at the age of ten, but I didn’t take up writing seriously until many years later.
I love the Medieval period and did a great deal of research into it while in college, even though it wasn’t my field. That’s why my historical erotic romances are set in that period.
I dream a lot, too, which makes writing the perfect vocation for me. How else can you claim to be working when you’re sitting in an armchair staring out the window?
A book well worth reading. What a truly strong and kind man Sir Philip de Mont Charles is after his interaction with Lady Mary Alderwood things appear to be working a bit better. Under the prior lord, Mary had suffered now Philip was trying hard to help Mary get over the cruel treatment and perhaps accept him as a husband. Now, as sweetly as their romance goes there is a snake lurking in the dark ready to bring danger to Mary and Philip. This was really a good piece, well-written it had drama, danger, and love all with-in its pages. This is a book well worth reading and having in your collection. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Philip was the new lord of the manor. He caught two lads who had been doing dangerous pranks against him and decided to give them lashes in front of all of his people. While meeting out their punishment he realized one was a woman. Mary’s family had been in control before the last lord brutishly took over the manor and her. Philip proposed they marry but someone was trying to kill him and making it look like Mary was guilty. Could they truly fall in love or were the pains of the past and the stunts of the present too much to overcome? Fun and exciting story

Book three of the Passions series a well written story that held my interest until the end. I enjoyed reading Sir Philip de Mont Charles and Lady Mary Alderwood 's story, there is suspense, drama, a villain, and romance. I want to read more in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Sir Philip de MontCharles, newly created Baron of Alderwood, stalked down the corridor of his manor, hoping he’d remember which door led to his private solar. He was pretty sure it was the fourth door on the left, but after only two weeks as lord of this confusing keep, he still had doubts.
Here's a well-written medieval romance about the new lord of the manor who needs to convince the former lady of the keep that he's not such a bad guy. There's a little bit of murder mayhem going on as someone keeps trying to kill Lord Phillip and pin it on Mary. There's also references to the past abuse suffered by Mary by the former Lord of the Manor, so if you like your heroines pristine, this one's not for you. Surprisingly, there's also lots of 'domestic discipline' towards the end of the book. Ah, the joys of spanking. Ouch!
