While I am not an avid fantasy reader, I loved this book. The world building is minimal, and uncovers itself through each chapter, and the characters are so wonderfully written. No character feels like a plot device or side character, and is described in such a way that I can clearly envision them in my head. Plot is so original, and had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Great debut from Chelle Luckie!

This book as everything! Magical realism, love triangles, murder, magic, different realms ect. An absolute must read for fans of magical realism!

Scion: Dawn of Midnight is a wonderful read. The story will hook you right from the beginning, and the characters will stay with you long after finishing. There are so many well written characters that I do not know which one is my favorite. Can't wait for the next book!!!
