A catalog to accompany an exhibition held at the Detroit Institute of Arts September 24, 1991 to February 9, 1992.\ The Institute collection consists of over 15,000 pieces; it ranks among the most important such collections in the US. The works selected for this exhibit represent the major forms of vestments used in the western Catholic tradition, such as copes, dalmatics, and chasubles, as well as some pieces from the Eastern Church.
