Proceeds through the Bible book by book showing where cultists misinterpret passages. The authors then give the orthodox interpretation of the passage in question.
Norman L. Geisler (PhD, Loyola University of Chicago) taught at top evangelical colleges and seminaries for over fifty years and was a distinguished professor of apologetics and theology at Veritas Evangelical Seminary in Murrieta, California. He was the author of nearly eighty books, including the Baker Encyclopedia of Christian Apologetics and Christian Ethics. He and his wife lived in Charlotte, North Carolina.
4.5 stars. Very helpful and doctrinally sound responses to assumptions and outright lies about the Bible. I learned quite a bit was also encouraged in the truth of the Word.
It's a good book but it is in no way all inclusive of questions a person can deal with when dealing with Cults. Another concern is for the reader who might have a little more of a spirit-filled life than Mr. Geisler who tends to be a tad staunch and stuffy in his approach. Still for the discerning reader it can be a useful tool if for nothing more to stimulate hypothetical conversations.~ Dov of the Galilee~ Israel
