I'd never recommend this book as a replacement for reading Barth firsthand, nor would its author, yet this is a clear summary of Barth's Dogmatics and a very helpful explanation of Barth's major project.

I really had hoped this would be more of an Introduction but it was essentially Karl Barth lite. This is more of a me problem then a book problem, but I still struggled to comprehend it as a non scholar.

Perhaps it is because I am new to the material, but I found that a lot of the terminology was vague and imprecise. I found a lot of the argumentation to be unrigorous and speculative. I found that his conclusions were not always intuitive.

If you don't want to wade through Barth, this is as good a summary as you will find.
