Baron Albert de Pury was a Swiss biblical scholar, historian, and exegesis. A specialist in biblical history, and the literary and religious traditions of the ancient Ancient Near East, he served on the faculty at the University of Geneva and the University of Neuchâtel as a professor of the Old Testament.
