A well researched and written account of Padre Thomas Nangle's outstanding contribution to the war effort of Newfoundland and Britian. The book provides, previously unknown, insight into the strength of character, drive and accomplishments of this Newfoundland priest. Gary Browne has to be commended for his work 'introducing' us to a true First World War hero.

Le français suit,

Having worked at Beaumont-Hamel, this book serves as an excellent background to the memorial, and the man largely responsible for its creation.

Ayant travaillé à Beaumont-Hamel, cet ouvrage constitue une excellente introduction au mémorial et à l'homme qui en était en grande partie responsable.
