As with my review on the I-Ching book by R. T. Kaser, I utilize this book mainly as a tertiary reference to clarify an interpretation or meaning that isn't clear to me. Westerners can study and "interpret" the I-Ching all they want, but they just aren't raise or immersed in the culture. Their "takes" are interesting (in much the same way that anime presents an interesting interpretation and viewpoint on western culture), but they do tend to "westernize" and popularize the meanings. While this may be helpful to some, it can sometimes lead to incorrect deductions.
